1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Squawk ("Squawk", "we", "us", "our") for your use of the Squawk website, mobile applications, and related services (together, the "Service") operated at app-squawk.com and related apps.
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Squawk.

2. Eligibility (age 15+)
You must be at least 15 years old to create an account or use Squawk. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
If you are under the age of majority where you live, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use Squawk, and they agree to these Terms on your behalf where required by law.
3. What Squawk is (and is not)
Squawk is a social platform for users to share posts, flight posts, messages, and related content, and to use features such as feed, Radar, map, weather, and profile tools as we make them available.
Squawk is not an official, certified, or legally binding logbook, flight record, or compliance system for employers, airlines, regulators, insurers, courts, or any other authority. Do not rely on Squawk content as legal evidence, regulatory proof, or professional documentation unless a third party independently accepts it — which is outside our control.
4. Your account
You agree to:
- Provide accurate registration information and keep it updated.
- Keep your password and login details confidential.
- Notify us promptly at support@app-squawk.com if you believe your account was accessed without permission.
- Be responsible for activity that occurs under your account, except where we determine someone accessed it without your fault after you reported it.
We may send security notices (for example, new device or new location sign-in alerts) to help protect your account.
5. Your content — ownership and license
You retain ownership of content you create and upload (posts, photos, videos, captions, comments, messages, and similar) ("Your Content"), subject to these Terms and applicable law.
To operate Squawk, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and communicate Your Content solely as needed to provide, secure, improve, and promote the Service (including showing it to other users according to your privacy settings). This license ends when Your Content is deleted from our systems, except for reasonable residual copies in backups for a limited period, or where we must retain it by law or for dispute resolution.
6. Prohibited content and conduct (strict)
Squawk does not operate a full automated filter on all comments or posts. That does not mean illegal or harmful content is allowed. You must not upload, post, comment, send, or share:
- Nudity, pornography, or sexual content involving anyone (including yourself).
- Content that exploits or sexualizes minors — zero tolerance.
- Graphic violence, gore, or videos that glorify or depict serious real-world harm or criminal acts ("violation videos" and similar).
- Harassment, threats, hate, bullying, or abuse of other users.
- Content that infringes others' copyrights, trademarks, privacy, or other rights.
- Spam, scams, malware, phishing, or attempts to hack or disrupt the Service.
- Anything illegal under the laws of the United Arab Emirates or other laws that apply to you.
If you upload nudes, sexual content, abuse, illegal material, or similar prohibited content, we may immediately remove the content, ban your account, and delete related posts without prior notice, and we may report to authorities where required by law.
7. No proactive filter — your responsibility
You understand and agree that Squawk does not guarantee review or filtering of all user comments, posts, or messages before they appear. You are solely responsible for Your Content and for your interactions with others.
Squawk and its operators are not liable for user-generated content created by you or others, including comments, except to the extent we are required by UAE law to act after receiving a valid notice.
8. Moderation, bans, and removal
We may, at our sole discretion and without obligation to monitor:
- Remove or restrict any content.
- Suspend or permanently ban any account.
- Delete posts, comments, messages, or entire accounts.
- Act on reports from users, 3rd parties, or legal authorities.
We may do this for violations of these Terms, risk to users or Squawk, legal requirements, or to protect the community. We are not required to give advance notice where we reasonably believe urgency or law requires immediate action (including nudes and serious violations).
9. Copyright and rights complaints
If you believe content on Squawk infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, email support@app-squawk.com with:
- Your name and contact email.
- A description of the work you own.
- The URL or location of the allegedly infringing content.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized.
- A statement that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act.
We may remove or disable access to the content while we review, and we may terminate accounts of repeat infringers where appropriate.
10. 3rd parties
The Service may rely on 3rd parties for hosting, authentication, email delivery, maps, media storage, analytics, or similar infrastructure. Your use of those components may also be subject to those 3rd parties' terms. We are not responsible for 3rd-party outages, errors, or policies beyond our reasonable control.
11. Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of your agreement with us.
12. Account deletion
You may request deletion of your account through in-app settings or by contacting support@app-squawk.com. Deletion may include a waiting period where we already provide one. Some information may be retained where required by law, for security, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.
13. Disclaimers ("as is")
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY UAE LAW.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that content will be accurate or available at all times.
14. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY THE LAWS OF THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, SQUAWK AND ITS OPERATORS, OFFICERS, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE OR FROM USER-GENERATED CONTENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY UAE LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS SHALL BE USD $0 (zero), because Squawk is offered without a paid subscription fee under these Terms. If a court or arbitrator finds this limit unenforceable, our liability shall be limited to the minimum amount permitted by applicable UAE law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UAE law (including fraud or willful misconduct where such exclusion is prohibited).
15. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Squawk and its operators from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
16. Disputes — binding arbitration (UAE)
Subject to mandatory UAE law that cannot be waived:
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict of law rules.
- Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably by contacting support@app-squawk.com.
- If not resolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be referred to binding arbitration seated in the United Arab Emirates, in English, before a single arbitrator, under the arbitration rules of a recognized UAE arbitration centre (or such rules as the parties agree in writing). The award shall be final and enforceable.
- You and Squawk agree that disputes are brought only in an individual capacity, not as a class, collective, or representative action, to the fullest extent permitted by UAE law.
Either party may seek interim or injunctive relief from UAE courts to protect intellectual property, safety, or account security while arbitration is pending.
17. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date on this page. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, except where UAE law requires additional notice or consent.
18. General
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization or transfer of the Service. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Squawk regarding the Service and supersede prior agreements on the same subject.
